Book Store Closing - Library Furniture & Display Donation

Recently, a book store at 2817 N. Clark was closed. The owner of the property, Centrum Properties, Inc., has generously agreed to donate items left in the property to Chicago Public Schools' libraries. It is up to individual receiving schools to assess the condition of donated items and their suitability for the school environment. It is, also, up to schools to arrange their own moving transportation of donated items to their schools. Items can be claimed for the library or other learning spaces in schools.

Scheduled Viewing Times - During these times, the property will be open and CPS librarians can tag items that they want to claim for their schools. Items can also be taken at these times, if schools are prepared to transport them on these days. There will be no one available to help move items.

Thursday, June 16 - 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Monday, June 20 - 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Pick-Up Times - Items not removed during the viewing times above can be picked up at individually-scheduled times. During these times, CPS librarians and their adult helpers can take items that they can use in their schools. Schools are responsible for all aspects of moving items, including bringing tools, dollies, etc. There will be no one available to help move items.
